Longford Town midfielder Alan Kirby has signed a new two-year deal with the eircom League Premier Division club.

Longford Town midfielder Alan Kirby has signed a new two-year deal with the eircom League Premier Division club.

The former Aston Villa youngster, now 27, had been linked with an exit from Flancare Park following a season which earned him FAI Cup and League Cup honours.

But Longford manager Alan Mathews has rewarded Kirby with a new contract.
