New deal for Brown

Manchester United defender Wes Brown has agreed a new four-year contract at the Old Trafford club.

The 25-year-old England international, who had been in the final year of his previous deal, has committed himself to the club until June 2008.

Brown said: “I’ve always wanted to stay at Manchester United, I’ve grown up here, I’ve developed my career here and I’m delighted to be staying.

“United is the best club in the world and I want to continue being a part of that. I am looking forward to winning more trophies and competing in the best tournaments.”
