Kamara out for six weeks

Portsmouth’s £2.3m (€3.3m) record signing Diomansy Kamara has been ruled out for six weeks with the severe knee injury he sustained in Saturday’s 2-0 win over Manchester United.

The Senegal striker has damaged a medial ligament in his left knee after a tackle from United’s Paul Scholes, but the club are hopeful he will avoid any need for surgery as there is no sign of cartilage damage after a scan.
