O'Leary cool over Hendrie contract

Aston Villa manager David O’Leary has decided “to wait a couple of months” before opening talks over a contract extension for Lee Hendrie – even though the midfielder believes he has already qualified for a new deal.

O’Leary has insisted that the future of German international Thomas Hitzlsperger, whose current contract runs out next summer, is the first priority.
