Berkovic out

Eyal Berkovic has been ruled out of Portsmouth’s clash with Manchester United at Fratton Park with the calf injury he sustained after scoring the Carling Cup penalty winner against Leeds in midweek.

Manager Harry Redknapp, still also lacking winger Steve Stone (Achilles), is likely to revert to the line-up which drew at Middlesbrough last Sunday - with the bonus addition of skipper Arjan de Zeeuw, who came through unscathed in his comeback against Leeds after a six-game absence.

The Dutchman is set to be joined at the back by David Unsworth, who has recovered from a calf injury, but Andy Griffin, who has been in outstanding form, could be the unlucky one to miss out.
