All change for Reds

Liverpool will field a much-changed side for their Carling Cup third round tie at Millwall as manager Rafael Benitez eyes three hugely-important games in the following eight days.

Liverpool have crucial Premiership matches at Blackburn on Saturday and at home to Birmingham the following weekend, with a Champions League trip to Deportivo La Coruna on Wednesday week to consider.

Benitez is unlikely to field his main stars at The Den and the likes of Jerzy Dudek, Stephane Henchoz, Salif Diao, Stephen Warnock, Igor Biscan and Florent Sinama-Pongolle will play along with young reserves Neil Mellor, Zak Whitbread and Darren Potter.

Senior men Sami Hyypia, Luis Garcia, Xabi Alonso, Djibril Cisse and Dietmar Hamann will not be involved.
