FIFA demand Mutu six-month ban

Adrian Mutu faces a likely six-month ban from all football after FIFA declared their readiness to take action should they consider any Football Association punishment for the shamed striker to be too lenient.

The Romanian, who has tested positive for a banned drug – said by the Professional Footballers Association to be cocaine – is understood to have begun counselling for his drug abuse problem.
