The Republic of Ireland midfielder has been sidelined for several weeks with an ankle problem, and made his return as a substitute against Arsenal before the international break.

Jonatan Johansson, Hermann Hreidarsson and Dennis Rommedahl should be available after midweek World Cup qualifying action, Radostin Kishishev has been undergoing treatment on a groin problem, while Shaun Bartlett (ankle) and Mark Fish (knee) have regained match fitness and may feature as could Francis Jeffers, who missed the 4-0 thrashing at former club Arsenal with a cricked neck.

Provisional squad: Kiely, Andersen, Young, Perry, Fortune, Hreidarsson, Murphy, El Karkouri, Kishishev, Rommedahl, Stuart, Holland, Euell, Johansson, Jeffers, Lisbie, Hughes, Fish, Bartlett.
