Woodgate limps out of Madrid training

Jonathan Woodgate’s first appearance for Real Madrid could be put on hold after the defender limped out of training today.

Woodgate had been set to play for Real in a friendly match against Alcorcon on Tuesday but that now looks in doubt after the England centre-back left the training session early having appeared to have picked up a leg injury.

The 24-year-old, who joined Real from Newcastle United for £13.4m (€20m) in the summer, has been sidelined with a thigh problem since April.
