Matt Holland has been called up to the Republic of Ireland squad for the World Cup qualifiers against France and the Faroe Islands despite not playing for his club, Charlton, in over a month.

Matt Holland has been called up to the Republic of Ireland squad for the World Cup qualifiers against France and the Faroe Islands despite not playing for his club, Charlton, in over a month.

Liam Miller has also received the call from Republic manager Brian Kerr after recovering from injury to feature in Manchester United’s last two games. He, like Holland, was sidelined for the games against Cyprus and Switzerland recently.
