Hackett plays down Spurs' ref rumpus

Referees’ chief Keith Hackett has defended Peter Walton for his conduct during Manchester United’s clash with Tottenham.

Spurs boss Jacques Santini accused Walton of “smiling with the players and staff of Manchester United” during the half-time break of his side’s 1-0 defeat.
