Xabi Alonso produced an outstanding performance as goals from Milan Baros, Luis Garcia and Djibril Cisse wrapped up the points.

Norwich battled away but were out of their depth for long spells against the quality of Alonso, who stepped into the gap left by injured Steven Gerrard with a masterful display of passing.
