Ferdinand returns for United

Rio Ferdinand returned to the Manchester United starting line-up for the first time in eight months tonight.

Ferdinand’s last appearance in a United shirt was against Wolves at Molineux last January; 32 games, an FA Cup final and a European Championship ago.
