Ronaldo shines in Portugal win

Cristiano Ronaldo played, scored and claimed an assist for Portugal in the World Cup qualifier which Manchester United assistant boss Carlos Queiroz was keen for him to miss.

The 19-year-old winger was inspirational in the 2-0 win over home side Latvia as the Euro 2004 runners-up made a promising start to their bid to top group three.
