England coach Sven Goran-Eriksson had the luxury of training with a full squad today before flying out to Vienna this afternoon ahead of the opening World Cup qualifier against Austria on Saturday.

Manchester City winger Shaun Wright-Phillips had sat out yesterday’s session after picking up a slight ankle injury but joined in with the rest of the England squad today.

The players were taken on a gentle jog round the perimeter of their training pitch at Arsenal’s London Colney Complex by coach Sammy Lee, before then breaking off into two groups for some one touch ball work.

In his role as assistant to Eriksson, Middlesborough boss Steve McClaren joined in with Real Madrid pair David Beckham and Michael Owen and the England group seemed in good spirits.

Meanwhile goalkeeping coach Ray Clemence put David James, Paul Robinson, and Robert Green through their paces.

The squad are set to depart for Austria this afternoon, for the first part of their World Cup qualifying double header which also sees them meet Poland in Chorzow on Wednesday.
