No word from Moyes on Rooney move
Wayne Rooney’s future remains unclear following Everton’s 0-0 draw at Manchester United today.
United are anxious to seal a deal for the 18-year-old England striker before the transfer window closes tomorrow.
Rooney did not play for Everton at Old Trafford as he recovers from a foot injury.
Speaking after the game Moyes said: “I cannot give any indication about the situation.
“We have not even spoken about it today.”
The Everton fans constantly taunted the absent Rooney but Moyes said: “I have not thought about that.
“Wayne is a very good player and is a joy to work with.”
United tabled a second bid, believed to be £25m (€37.2m), for Rooney at the weekend, and are awaiting a response.
Moyes added: “I do not know what else I can say about the situation.”
