Blues blow as Frost out for three weeks

Waterford United will be without injured club captain John Frost for at least another three weeks.

Frost had initially been ruled out of action for three weeks with an ankle problem last month after picking up the injury during a Blues’ training session.

A further medical examination last weekend, though, revealed the left-back had suffered a hairline fracture and Frost’s protective cast is expected to stay on for another fortnight.

"This is a big blow for John and the club," player-manager Alan Reynolds told club website Waterford-United.ie.

"He knew it wasn't responding so at least we now know what's wrong. We'll just have to wait and see until the plaster comes off but it is a big blow for the Blues."
