Blackburn's Irish international midfielder Steven Reid will miss the start of the season and faces 10 weeks on the sidelines.

The former Millwall player, who moved to Ewood Park for £2.5m (€3.75m) last summer, broke a bone in his foot in a pre-season friendly at Preston.
