Vieira ruled out of Community Shield

Arsenal captain Patrick Vieira is ruled out of Sunday’s Community Shield against Manchester United with a thigh injury amid continued speculation over a potential move to Real Madrid.

Sol Campbell is also sidelined with an Achilles problem, although Thierry Henry could make a surprise appearance as a substitute after making a quicker recovery from a similar injury.
