Cork opponents notch up nine

Cork City’s next Intertoto Cup opponents, Dutch side NEC Nijmegen, beat Quick 1888, Holland’s oldest football club, 9-0 in a pre-season friendly last night.

The names for City fans to watch out for are centre-forward Frank Demouge and midfielder Jarda Simr, who scored five and three respectively.
