Shels and Vikings bosses face touchline ban

The managers of eircom League clubs Shelbourne and Dubin City both face touchline bans after clashes at recent matches.

Shels' Pat Fenlon and the Vikings' John Gill were each been banned from the sidelines for one match.

Fenlon picked up a one-game suspension, was fined €50 and warned as to his future conduct following his being sent from the technical area during the June 8 draw against Cork City.

He will have to watch from afar during the visit to Derry City on July 10.

Dublin City manager Gill, meanwhile, will miss the Vikings’ July 8 home match against Longford Town.

He picked up the same punishment as Fenlon and was severely warned as to his future conduct having been reported by the referee following the defeat at Derry City on June 8.

Seven players will also be serving one-match bans after reaching four penalty points.

Dan Murray of Cork City, Derry City’s Clive Delaney, Steven Gray of Drogheda United, Longford’s Vinny Perth, Jason McGuinness of Shamrock Rovers, Shelbourne’s Gerard Rowe and John Frost of Waterford United, will all serve their suspensions beginning July 7.
