Vogts cool on Korea talk

Berti Vogts has insisted he has no intention of quitting as Scotland manager despite reports that he has been offered the opportunity to coach South Korea.

Representatives of the 2002 World Cup semi-finalists are understood to have approached the German about taking over the running of the national team.

But Vogts is convinced the Scots can reach the World Cup finals in Germany against the odds and is adamant he will not walk away from the contract he signed until 2006.

He said: “I am happy in Scotland. Scotland is my new home.

“I think we can qualify for the next World Cup and I want to be here to go for that success.

“Being with Scotland is the only thing on my mind just now.

“I only want to concentrate on working with my boys and getting to Germany.”
