Fabio Celestini, born in Lausanne of Italian parents, is set to replace the suspended Johann Vogel in an otherwise unchanged Switzerland side to meet England in Group B in Coimbra tomorrow.

Vogel was sent off in Switzerland’s opening goalless draw against Croatia but Celestini, who featured in Marseille’s UEFA Cup run last season, is a natural replacement in the centre of midfield.

The only doubt is whether Switzerland coach Jacob Kuhn keeps faith with 35-year-old veteran striker Stephane Chapuisat who has not scored for his country for almost two years.

Potential replacements include Johann Vonlanthen and Daniel Gygax.

Team (probable): Stiel, Haas, Murat Yakin, Muller, Spycher, Huggel, Celestini, Wicky, Hakan Yakin, Frei, Chapuisat.
