Larsson favours Barca switch

Sweden striker Henrik Larsson wants to play at Barcelona next season.

He was quoted on the website of Spanish sports daily El Mundo Deportivo, www.elmundodeportivo.es, saying that the Spanish giants are his preferred choice from three possible clubs.

Larsson, a free agent after leaving Celtic this summer, has so far refused to comment on his future, preferring to wait until after Euro 2004.

But the former Feyenoord striker, preparing for today’s Group C opener against Bulgaria, has now shown his hand.

“I have given my agent (Rob Jansen) full powers while I take part in the European Championships,” said Larsson.

“I have given him a list of three teams where I would like to go, and my priority is Barca,” he said.
