Striker commits to Norwich
Norwich striker Ian Henderson has committed his future to the Premiership newcomers by signing a new three-year contract.
The 19-year-old England youth international is the second Canaries youngster this week to pen a new deal following in the footsteps of defender Jason Shackell.
Henderson, who has come through the youth ranks at Carrow Road, made his debut in October 2002 and has made 43 appearances, 24 as a substitute, since, scoring five goals.
He told the club’s official website, www.canaries.co.uk: “I am delighted. It’s nice the management team can show faith in me with the team getting promoted. I played a small part in the promotion campaign last season and hopefully I will get the chance to work just as hard and get more games under my belt in the Premiership.
“I am really looking forward to playing the crème de la crème and especially playing against Liverpool and the likes of Michael Owen. It will be a great opportunity for me to gain new experiences against Premiership teams and learn from some of the best players out there.”
