Wallace takeover stories ‘premature’

Cork City kit sponsor Michael Wallace said today that any talk of a takeover bid of either Cork or St Pat’s was premature.

The Dublin-based building contractor said that the rumours linking him to both clubs was “pie in the sky".

“I see the potential in Cork City but for me it’s a bit far away as all my business interests are in Dublin.

“Still I’d never rule it out of the question.”
