West Ham and Crystal Palace both went into today’s Nationwide First Division play-off final with fully-fit squads.

Only Palace manager Iain Dowie was forced into a change of personnel from the second leg of their semi-final against Sunderland.

Midfielder Julian Gray was sent off at the Stadium of Light, where the Eagles won on penalties, and so missed out today through suspension. That meant a call-up into the starting XI for Shaun Derry, with the Football League’s leading scorer Andrew Johnson again spearheading the Palace attack.

Alan Pardew named the same side which turned over a 1-0 deficit against Ipswich at Upton Park, and also included defender Rufus Brevett on the bench as he continued a recovery from nine months out with a foot injury.

Don Hutchison was fit again after a calf problem kept him out against Ipswich, but he had to be content with a place on the substitutes’ bench.

Crystal Palace: Vaesen, Butterfield, Popovic, Leigertwood, Granville, Routledge, Riihilahti, Derry, Hughes, Shipperley, Johnson.

Subs: Freedman, Berthelin, Powell, Black, Watson.

West Ham: Bywater, Repka, Dailly, Melville, Mullins, Harewood, Carrick, Lomas, Etherington, Zamora, Connolly.

Subs: Srnicek, Brevett, Deane, Reo-Coker, Hutchison.

Referee: G Poll (Hertfordshire)
