Gray keen to move forward

Leeds caretaker-manager Eddie Gray is urging the board to act quickly in their decision making to give the club the best possible chance of an instant return to the Barclaycard Premiership.

With United all but relegated, speculation concerning the futures of a number of players, Gray, and the club in general is rife.

Offers have so far poured in from a host of clubs for the likes of Mark Viduka, Alan Smith, Paul Robinson and James Milner, while several names have been linked with Gray’s post should the club decide to dispense with his services as manager.

Gray told Sky Sports News: “There will be players looking to go, we accept that in the situation the club are in.

“That’s why it is important the board make the right decisions for whoever is in charge, be it me or somebody else, to ensure we have a chance to take it forward.

“Whatever decisions they make, they have to make them quickly because the club have to get back on an even keel and look forward and see what direction they are going to go in.”
