Kevin Doyle scored a brilliant solo goal, but it wasn’t enough to earn Cork all three points at Flancare park.

Doyle put City in front within two minutes of the restart when collecting Danny Murphy’s pass to run clear and round Stephen O’Brien to slide the ball home.

Town levelled within eight minutes when skipper Vinny Perth drilled home a penalty following a tug on the shirt of Shane Barrett by City skipper Shane Murray.
