Carroll withdraws from NI squad
Roy Carroll has withdrawn from Northern Ireland’s friendly international against Estonia on Wednesday.
The Manchester United goalkeeper played in yesterday’s 1-1 Premiership draw against Arsenal at Highbury but made the decision to withdraw from the national squad this morning.
Earlier this month club manager Alex Ferguson publicly stated Carroll would play in both matches against the Gunners, including next weekend’s FA Cup semi-final, after dropping American Tim Howard.
