Reds and Marseille level at half-time

Liverpool’s European ambitions were very much on ice at a freezing Anfield in a bitterly disappointing UEFA Cup fourth round tie against Marseille.

Marseille looked the better organised, and certainly the quicker side, as Liverpool struggled to find any hint of the form that saw them score four in Sofia last week.
