Ehiogu hoping for new Boro deal

Ugo Ehiogu has written off any hope of making the England squad for Euro 2004 and has set his sights instead on extending his contract at Middlesbrough.

The central defender spent much of 2003 out of action with first a punctured lung and then damaged cruciate league ligaments, and he accepts that time to impress Sven-Goran Eriksson has run out.
