FAI happy with World Cup fixture list

FAI CEO Fran Rooney said he was delighted with the outcome of the World Cup 2006 fixtures meeting held in Dublin today.

Ireland will play the critical home match against France late in the campaign in September 2005 with the away trip to Paris in October 2004. The Irish side’s final game of the qualifying campaign will be at home against Switzerland.
