Boro duo doubtful for cup clash

Middlesborough boss Steve McClaren has major doubts over defenders Gareth Southgate and Ugo Ehiogu ahead of tomorrow’s night Carling Cup clash with Arsenal.

Southgate has returned to training after a hamstring injury while Ehiogu is recovering from a groin problem but both are rated at only 50/50 to play.

Colin Cooper is definitely out with a hamstring strain, but Stuart Parnaby returns to contention after recovering from a back problem and Brazilian midfielder Doriva is available after suspension.
