Cisse wants to join Reds

Djibril Cisse is anxious join his fellow Frenchman Florent Sinama Pongolle at Liverpool.

The Auxerre striker is being chased by a number of top clubs but professed his desire to move to Anfield this week.

Pongolle told LFC Magazine: “We have spoken about Liverpool, and he would really like to come here.

“He confirmed to me that he wouldn’t say no if the opportunity arose.

“If he comes it will be good news. With his physical qualities and impressive speed, he could really do some damage.”
