West Brom gift Arsenal semi-final spot

Russell Hoult gifted Arsenal a place in the Carling Cup semi-finals at The Hawthorns tonight.

Hoult tapped the ball straight to Jeremie Aliadiere who gleefully swept home the Gunners’ second goal in the 56th minute.

Kanu had opened the scoring in a match twice delayed by injuries to officials - first to a linesman then to referee Matt Messias.
