Mendieta worry for Boro

Spaniard Gaizka Mendieta is a doubt for Middlesbrough’s Carling Cup quarter-final with Tottenham tomorrow.

Mendieta is struggling with a sore toe, while defender Danny Mills has gone down with a similar illness to the one which kept Colin Cooper out of Saturday’s draw with Charlton.
