Finn Harps reach play-off final

Bray Wanderers 1-2 Finn Harps

Bray Wanderers 1-2 Finn Harps

Finn Harps secured a place in the play-off final on Saturday night as a 2-1 win over Bray Wanderers at the Carlisle Grounds sealed a 3-1 aggregate victory.

Declan O’Brien and Damien Whitehead both hit the woodwork early on for Harps and they deservedly went in front just before half time.

An O’Brien throughball released Kevin McHugh and he scored from a tight angle.

Midway through the second half, Whitehead all but assured Harps of victory. He finished in style from the edge of the area after cutting in from the right wing.

Although Jody Lynch scrambled home a last minute goal for Bray, it was too little too late.
