New Leicester injury blow
Leicester City central defender Gerry Taggart’s hopes of a first team comeback have been dashed by a further injury blow.
Taggart has been sidelined for the past month after sustaining a groin problem and has missed the last four games.
The Northern Ireland international had been due to play for the reserves this week but is now sidelined with a thigh problem.
City manager Micky Adams said: “It’s a new injury but it’s still too early to say how long Gerry will be out for.
“We’ll have a better idea over the next couple of days but it is obviously frustrating for him as he wants to get back playing.”
Meanwhile top scorer Paul Dickov is to see a specialist about his back problem.
The Scottish international aggravated the injury after coming on as a substitute for the final part of the 1-1 draw with Charlton last weekend.
