Delaney out with knee problem

Aston Villa full-back Mark Delaney will be out of action for a fortnight after a scan revealed that he had suffered a slight cartilage tear during Sunday’s defeat at Tottenham.

The Welsh international is likely to miss the Barclaycard Premiership clashes with Southampton and Manchester United plus the Carling Cup tie with Crystal Palace which is sandwiched in between.
