Leicester’s England goalkeeper Ian Walker is a fitness doubt for the Foxes’ weekend Barclaycard Premiership clash at home to Charlton.

Walker picked up a shoulder injury on duty with England for Sunday’s game against Denmark and has undergone a scan to assess the extent of the damage.

The former Tottenham goalkeeper has been in outstanding form and had been hoping to win his fourth cap against the Danes only for the injury to scupper his hopes.

City manager Micky Adams said: “We got a call from England that Ian had tweaked his shoulder and would be coming back to us injured.

“Apparently it happened in one of the first training sessions with them.

“I am not too sure how serious it is at the moment. He had a scan yesterday, and we are awaiting the results.”
