Owen out of Steaua tie

Michael Owen is out of Liverpool’s UEFA Cup tie away to Steaua Bucharest with further problems from his ankle injury.

The England striker was left behind today when Liverpool flew to Romania, with boss Gerard Houllier hoping a week of treatment at the Melwood training complex will ensure Owen is fit to face Manchester United at Anfield on Sunday.
