Chelsea are preparing a £20m (€28m) bid for Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand, the Mail on Sunday claims.

Chelsea are preparing a £20m (€28m) bid for Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand, the Mail on Sunday claims.

He is keen to move back to London, the paper says, and may move in January.

Meanwhile Juventus striker Pavel Nedved says Chelsea want him to sign and the Blues are preparing a £28million bid, according to the News of the World.
