Bellamy hit by more knee problems

Newcastle striker Craig Bellamy’s injury jinx has struck again after the Welshman was ruled out of tomorrow night’s UEFA Cup trip to NAC Breda, raising the prospect of more conflict between his club and his country.

The 24-year-old, who has already undergone five operations on his knees, was left behind as Sir Bobby Robson and his players jetted out to Holland this morning after returning from international duty with Wales at the weekend in some discomfort.
