Simpson appointed Carlisle boss

Carlisle have confirmed Paul Simpson has been appointed full-time manager at Brunton Park.

The former Rochdale player-manager has been at the club since last month in a caretaker capacity following the departure of Dubliner Roddy Collins, the former Bohemians manager.

A club statement read: “The club are delighted with the appointment and are confident that Paul can take the team forward and bring success back to Brunton Park.”
