England wait on Beckham fitness

England boss Sven-Goran Eriksson will be hoping from some good news from Real Madrid this week on the fitness of his captain, David Beckham.

The midfielder suffered a foot injury during Real’s defeat in Valencia on Saturday which kept him out of training for two days and sees him miss tomorrow night’s Champions League encounter with Porto.
