Eriksson eyeing return to club football

Sven-Goran Eriksson has hinted that he may be ready for a return to club football following next year's European Championships finals.

The Swede's current contract runs until 2006 but Eriksson's latest comments are sure to reignite rumours that he is set to join Chelsea next summer.

Eriksson is quoted in Britain's Daily Star as saying: "I have always said that maybe one day I would be going back to club football.

"First I'd like to finish the job I have because I am extremely proud. We have a big game against Turkey and hopefully will do well in Euro 2004.

"Then, one day, back to club football - where I don't know. Football is not like other work. You can't ask for work. First there must be an offer."
