Poyet returns for managerless Spurs

Caretaker manager David Pleat takes Tottenham into tomorrow night’s Carling Cup trip to Coventry with veteran midfielder Gustavo Poyet available again.

Poyet has recovered from a wrist injury but Wales midfielder Simon Davies is still sidelined by a thigh strain and Jamie Redknapp is ruled out by a bang on the knee during the 3-1 defeat against Southampton which led to Glenn Hoddle’s dismissal.
