Arsenal defender Sol Campbell ruled himself out of today’s game against Manchester United at Old Trafford following the death of his father in midweek.

Campbell was replaced in central defence by Martin Keown as Arsene Wenger also dropped Robert Pires and Sylvain Wiltord, with Ray Parlour and Dennis Bergkamp coming into the side.

United captain Roy Keane was set to partner Phil Neville in central midfield with Cristiano Ronaldo given another starting role.
