Jeffers returns to Goodison

Arsenal striker Francis Jeffers has rejoined former club Everton on loan until the end of the season.

Jeffers has struggled to break into the starting line-up at Highbury and has spent most of his time – when not injured – on the sidelines after his £8m (€11.5m) move in June 2001.

He made his England debut last season – scoring against Australia in February - but blotted his copybook in the Community Shield at the Millennium Stadium, getting sent off in the 1-1 draw with Manchester United.
